Dear Reader:
Enclosed are three QuickTime movies on two subjects.
The images are volume-rendered studies performed with the bone scanning tracer Tc-99m MDP for the skeleton, and Tc-99m tagged red cells for the abdominal scan.
The skeleton is a normal study . The kidneys normally are seen on such a scan.
The other gray-scale and color movies are of the abdomin. The tracer is attached to the blood cells and the image is of the blood flow in the body. The spleen is the brightest image because it is very vascular. The kidneys, liver, and the chambers of the heart can be seen. Look very closely and you can see the renal arteries coursing from the aorta to the kidneys.
The gamma camera system is from Siemens.... a ZLC-3700 Orbiter with Mac-based processor. The images were captured using SnapShot from a display program called MedImage/DeltaManager. I created the movies using Premiere 2.0.
